Prayer Request

Please pray for the Ricketts family. Sarena Ricketts was pregnant and due in August. A couple of weeks ago, she was put on bed rest with complications. Shortly afterwards, they had to do an emergency C-section. Baby Dakota weighed 12 oz and was 10 inches long. He is gaining weight and doing much better as far as I know. Sarena had a massive stroke Monday night. She passed away last night. She left behind a husband, James, who is a new Christian, a teenage son, Timothy, a 2 (maybe 3) year old daughter, Sydney, and baby Dakota, who still has a long way to go before he is ready to go home. This family needs all the prayers we can pray right now. I can’t imagine what they are going through. Pray for James as he is now fully responsible for raising these 3 children on his own. Also remember the entire Juno congregation as this has affected all of us very deeply.

I wanted to add a good memory of Sarena. Before her husband was baptized, Sarena was always at church. She would bring Sydney to every service. Eventually, James started coming, and was eventually baptized. And I know that it was by her example that this happened. I always admired Sarena for the strength that I know it took to get up every Sunday morning and come all by herself. I’m not sure I would’ve been able to stay that strong for that long. So thank you, Sarena, for being strong, for being a shining light for James, for being an inspiration to the rest of us. You will be missed. =)
