Designs of My Life

Sold!

I sold my first kitchen today! Cabinets AND countertops. I was pretty excited about it. The couple was very easy to work with. They came in with measurements, knew they wanted stock cabinets, and I drew it up for them. Easy sneezy. I was kinda nervous b/c we were out of a few pieces they needed, but they were fine w/it. I went ahead and sold it to them and told them I would let them know as soon as the pieces came in. They were very understanding. Plus it took me forever to pull them all off the shelf. Well…it took a while for Derrick to pull them off the shelf. He helped me. He rocks. =)

So after getting all of those down, hauling them all to the front, making sure everything was there, and getting them loaded up, I was exhausted. So I planned to take a 15 minute break just to catch my breath basically. But on my way up to the front, I walked past a guy and his mom looking at dishwashers with the obligatory “Hi. How are yall today?” Well, Tom was busy w/someone else, so they asked me a question about the size of it. Grabbed a tape measure. Got the size. “Ok, this is the one we want.” Sweet! So I sold them the dishwasher…which meant I had to go get on the power equipment to pull it from top stock in receiving and then take it to the front for them. I was there for over 3 hours before I got my first break…and you usually get one after 2 hours. Oh well. It was worth it. =)

Then I went to lunch with Casey and Derrick to McDs. It was a lot of fun. We laughed a lot. Oh! And right before I went on my lunch break, I sold a countertop detail (which basically means an installer is coming out to your house to take official measurements so that we can give you an estimate for your countertops.) So with all of that, it was a great day. Despite the fact that I was closing on a Saturday night. =)
